Please note: The main team are currently away at E3 but the skeleton crew will be filling in for us this week. Normal service will resume next Monday. Be sure to write in more this week as Jimmy and the skeletons get real lonely.
The evening Inbox is anticipating the new Tomb Raider game but wasn’t totally convinced by the main shows at E3. To join in with the discussions yourself email gamecentral@ukmetro.co.uk
Tombs will be raided
Can’t wait for the new Tomb Raider. I really enjoyed the recent reboot and the return to actual tombs is even more enticing.
Also I have just finished the Ico and Shadow of Colossus collection, and absolutely loved it – particularly Colossus. They have definitely edged into my top 10 games ever. The story they managed to tell with such little detail is incredible as is the gaming experience given with such simple game play. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get the beautiful soundtracks? – they do’;t appear on itunes and they are ridiculous prices on Amazon and such sites..

Skeleton: Tomb Raider had an impressive trailer. Watch out for my cousin (who is also a skeleton). He said he has a cameo in the final game.
MorE3
As iLike Fat Ladys said the Microsoft E3 briefing was a disappointment. It showed a number of games that I would happily play but nothing to really get me excited and want to rush out and buy an Xbox ONE. I think a fair bit of this was due to the large number of leaks leading up to the event. I am not overly fussed about remakes but the Halo collection would have been a really nice surprise if it was indeed a surprise.
I have only seen snippets of the Sony and Ubisoft briefings so far. They seems to show games that are slighter closer to my tastes but again nothing to give me a warm fuzzy feeling of anticipation.
So in the World Cup week Nintendo find themselves in the 6 yard box, with the ball at their feet and an open goal…

Jimmy: So what you’re saying is the games would have somehow been better if they were a surprise? Has knowing about the Master Chief Collection for a while reduced the quality of the package on offer?
We don’t think so.

Nintendo is a grown up
Regarding the so called bad news of Sony overtaking Nintendo as the number 1 videogames manufacturer, I think Nintendo should be proud of the fact that a tiny company like them are even able to compete with the O.C.P of gaming.
OL
Jimmy: Nintendo isn’t so tiny and with Sony’s financial problems it was arguably in a better position after the success of the Wii.
Laughing man
I must applaud DMR’s Hot Topic letter. It had me in stitches. So much so that the final sentence sent beer flying out of my nose! I haven’t laughed so much (in a good way) at a letter from the inbox in ages. Well done Mr DMR you Prophetic Loonie!

P.S I now have a laptop the dog can’t chew as it be made from space age aluminium!)
Skeleton: We’re pleased to hear you laughed ‘in a good way’ for once but we’re not too sure alcohol spraying out of your nostrils is that ‘good’.
Jimmy: Don’t listen to the skeleton, he’s been a real killjoy since the GameCentral team refused to stuff him in their suitcases and take him to E3.
But it’s fun
I read your review of rr3 and totally agree. But. I have raced the game and not spent one cent, I own 25 cars have completed 10 series and am currently almost finished the Le Mans test. The game is terrific the format is bad, online play is dismal at best, wait times are punitive, cars cost too much. But it is fun.

Poison
I love Poison. Even if she is a man. That is how forward-thinking I am, and how true my love.
DMR
Skeleton: We’re not sure what that’s a reference to but we’re glad you’re happy.
Willing to finish last
I’ve just bought a Wii U with a certain kart racing game so if anyone is tired of finishing last online then add me and 12th place shall be mine dagnabbit!

This week’s Hot Topic
Since we’re away at E3 this week there will be no Hot Topic this weekend, as Jimmy only has enough time for the weekday Inbox. The Reader’s Features will run as normal though and things will be back to normal the week after.
