EA has dashed hopes that the new Mass Effect will be out this year, and will instead rely on Battlefield and Titanfall for Christmas.
To be fair, nobody actually promised that Mass Effect: Andromeda would be out this year, but it had been assumed by many that EA was positioning it as a Christmas release.
But in an investor call last night EA confirmed that the game won’t be out until the first quarter of 2017, i.e. sometime between January and March.
